Katy Perry Super Bowl 2015: Lenny Kravitz Will Be Halftime Guest & He Might Perform 'American Woman'
During halftime of the AFC playoff matchup on Saturday night, Katy Perry announced she will be pairing up with Grammy-winning singer Lenny Kravitz for her Super Bowl performance on Feb.1, Rolling Stone reports.
Perry also mentioned her performance collaboration with Kravitz in a "Today" interview scheduled to air on Monday.
"My first special guest is going to be an incredible rock & roll icon, a guitar god," Perry said before announcing Kravitz's name on "Today."
She also insinuated she and Kravitz might perform one of his biggest hits, "American Woman," during the SuperBowl.
"We'll see," Perry said in response to the "American Woman" inquiry.
Prior to the news of Perry performing with Kravitz, rumors surfaced that Perry has another surprise performance up her sleeve for the Super Bowl show.
Yahoo! Celebrity UK reports Perry, who has an on-going feud with Taylor Swift, plans to perform a diss record about Swift at the Super Bowl.
Perry's song about Swift is allegedly called "She's so Creepy."
According to Yahoo! Celebrity U.K., Perry and Swift's beef first began when Swift released "Bad Blood" about a "mystery celebrity" who fans later discovered was Katy Perry.
In a September interview with Rolling Stone, Swift explained "Bad Blood" emerged after a "mystery celebrity" sabotaged her tour by hiring all of Swift's cast and crew.
"For years I was never sure if we were friends or not," Taylor said about who is now widely reported to be Perry. "She would come up at awards shows, say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'"
Swift added the beef "wasn't even about a guy! She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour – she tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me."
Since then, Perry and her friends have continued to throw shots at the"1989" singer.
