The Foo Fighters performed at Inglewood, California's The Forum on Saturday night in a show that doubled as Dave Grohl's 46th birthday celebration.

Rolling Stone reports the event was billed as "An Evening With Foo Fighters in the Round" and was the band's first gig of 2015.

Fans had no idea the concert would turn into a star-studded event featuring Kiss' Paul Stanley, Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash, Kyuss' Nick Oliveri and many more. Without a doubt, one of the night's biggest surprises was when David Lee Roth performed Van Halen's "Panama" and "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love" with the Foo Fighters.

The concert started with Kiss' Paul Stanley and the Foo Fighters performing "Detroit Rock City" and "Destroyer" classic "Do You Love Me?" The latter song was covered by Nirvana in 1989 for a Kiss covers compilation and, like Grohl, is forever connected to the Nirvana legend.

Special guest Jack Black appeared on stage with fellow Tenacious D member Kyle Gass to join Grohl. Slash accompanied Tenacious D and the Foo Fighters for rowdy renditions of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" and Queen's "Tie Your Mother Down."

Other notable performances include Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Alice Cooper, who accompanied the Foo Fighter's rendition of "School's Out" and "I'm Eighteen."

Trombone Shorty joined the Foo Fighters to perform "This Is a Call," which was the first major single released by the band from their self-titled debut album in 1995.

Guitarist Zakk Wylde, who is best known as the former guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, performed a pair of Black Sabbath songs and the night-closing performance of Chuck Berry's "Let It Rock" with Motörhead's Lemmy Kilmister and Slash.

The Foo Fighters showcased a greatest hits set featuring "My Hero" and "Learn to Fly," among others, and cuts like "Congregation" from "Sonic Highways," their eighth studio album which was released on Nov. 10, 2014.

A portion of the ticket proceeds benefited three charities: MusiCares, the Rock School Scholarship Fund and Sweet Relief.
