Digital Book World Conference and Expo to Showcase Relationship Between Technology, Publishing and Literacy
The 6th annual Digital Book World Conference and Expo, taking place at the New York Hilton Midtown, is kicking off on Tuesday, Jan. 13, and it will continue on until the Jan.15.
Editors, publicists, booksellers, librarians, path-making authors, agents, marketers, C-level executives and CEOs who are familiar with digital publishing will act as keynote speakers, Digital Book World speakers, Launch Kids speakers, digital publishing tech training speakers and DBW workshop leaders at the event, educating the public on the inner happenings of the digital world.
The DBW event, along with the accompanying Digital Book Awards Gala, is the largest worldwide event dedicated to publishing's digital transition and the world of digital publishing, encompassing all forms of digital publishing that are available to consumers, including ebooks, enhanced ebooks and apps.
More than 100 thought leaders and 1,500 professionals, including Keith Moerer, director of Apple's iBooks Store; Walter Isaacson, best-selling author of "The Innovators: How a Group of Hackers, Geniuses, and Geeks Created the Digital Revolution"; and Brian Murray, president and CEO of HarperCollins Publishers will be present at educational sessions and workshops, children's book publishing seminars, conversations on digital best practices, and discussions on business enhancing services and literacy products.
The 2015 Digital Book Awards Gala will be hosted by Ira Wolfman, and it will showcase and reward the innovative, creative works of authors, developers and publishers. More than 50 titles, from publishers large and small from around the world, will be nominated, in numerous categories, demonstrating publishing excellence.

"In the uncharted world of digital disruption, these award finalists are guiding the way to a successful and exciting future."
Event attendees will be floored by the presentations, new learning and literacy products as well as by the transformative actions of digital publishing, as it has helped to promote education, literacy and connectivity.
