Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have been chosen to decorate this year's Christmas tree at London's landmark hotel Claridge's, and many are expecting to witness a fantastic Sicilian-inspired display.

"When we think of London, we always think of Claridge's and its typically English atmosphere, which fascinates us and makes us fall in love with the city every time as if it were the first," said Dolce & Gabbana.

This marks the fourth year that the luxury hotel has collaborated with a fashion house on designing its Christmas tree. Dolce & Gabbana follows previously participated Alber Elbaz of Lanvin and John Galliano for Dior, and London florist McQueens, who decorated the huge Christmas tree that sits in the main lobby last year.

The fashion duo will bring their Italian charm and heritage to Claridge's. Taking traditional Christmas tree elements, Dolce & Gabbana plan to use handmade Sicilian puppets called "Pupi," hand-painted festive glasses bubbles and the multiple colors of southern Italy.

"We are delighted to welcome Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana to spread their special Christmas magic in our lobby this year," said Thomas Kochs, Claridge's general manager.

"Both Claridge's and Dolce & Gabbana are synonymous with timeless glamour, innovative spirit and traditional family values that are so important at this time of year."

For Dolce & Gabbana, this will be a great opportunity to celebrate their Italian tradition: "Our Christmas tree isn't only a celebration of Christmas as we celebrate it in Italy, but it's also a tribute to the artisanal Italian tradition, the same that we love to export worldwide with everything we do," said the duo.

The tree will be unveiled on November 26, and will be displayed throughout the festive season.
