Ludacris' wife, Eudoxie Mbouguiyengue, recently spoke about tying the knot with the Atlanta rapper on the same day he proposed.

Ludacris' reps also confirmed that the rapper and his beau "were engaged and married over the holidays," E! News reports.

"We chose a simple and intimate wedding that was perfect for us," Mbouguiyengue told E! News of her wedding day. "We wanted the day to be about our loving commitment to each other."

E! News reports that on her wedding day, Mbouguiyengue chose to wear a dress that carried sentimental value for her. She also incorporated the American tradition ofsomething old, something new, something borrowed and something blue." Mbouguiyengue donned her dress as the "something old," while the blue hydrangea in her bouquet was the "something blue" and the pearl earrings she wore were the "something borrowed" she received from a loved one.

Prior to announcing his marriage, Ludacris publicly announed via Instagram that he and Mbouguiyengue were engaged  on Dec. 26, 2014, however, he failed to mention that he and his beau got married the same day. Instead, he chose to announce the news of the marriage news after the new year on Instagram.

Ludacris proposed to his longtime girlfriend Eudoxie Mbouguiyengue aboard a private jet while the couple traveled with friends and family for a holiday vacation, Billboard reported. As the couple boarded the plane, the words "Eudoxie, Will you Marry Me" appeared on the grass near the plane. Among the friends and family who witnessed the proposal were Ludacris' cousin and singer, Monica, and singer and actress, Letoya Luckett.

Ludacris, whose real name is Chris Bridges, has been dating Mbouguiyengue since 2009. Mbouguiyengue is a native of Gabon in West Central Africa and founder of the nonprofit organization Unspoken Angels.
