Rihanna Instagram Pics at Mosque Get Her Thrown Out for 'Inappropriate' Positions
Rihanna, who has crooned about falling in love "in a hopeless place," was recently kicked out of a place of hope, a mosque, for turning the place of worship into a set for her own photo shoot. The Abu Dhabi's Grand Mosque asked the pop star to leave after she posed for photographs in the compound's sanctuary.
The impromptu Instagram shoot features the diva completely clad in black, wearing gold flats, and her hair covered with a hijab -- to meet the mosque's guidelines. And, she's seen posing on white marble. According to a statement that the mosque published in the local newspaper, Rihanna ventured to an off-limits area that visitors were not allowed. It also said that the fashionista violated the rules on the "status and sanctuary of the mosque." Their website reiterated that, but clarified that it wasn't her appearance, but the fact that she was posing in "disrespectful positions."
The mosque is a tourist attraction in the United Arab Emirates' capital, and is the largest Muslim place of worship in the world. Rihanna is in the Middle East for her Diamonds World Tour. She performed at the du Arena on October 19th, and will be performing in Tel Aviv, Israel at Yarkon Park on October 22nd.
Rihanna's Diamonds Tour began in Buffalo, New York on March 8th of this year, and will conclude in New Orleans on November 15th. And, the set features 25 of her most acclaimed songs.
Rihanna has yet to release a statement about the photo shoot or about being banned from the mosque.
