On Monday, Fox, Dick Clark Productions and 19 Entertainment announced that Mary Murphy, one of the veteran judges and choreographers on "So You Think You Can Dance," would not be returning to the show in its upcoming 12th season.

Entertainment Weekly reports details regarding Murphy's departure have not been confirmed. However, E! News claims Murphy's "So You Think You Can Dance" contract was not renewed.

"I'm saddened of course to be released from my contract," Murphy said in a statement obtained by E! News. "I'm very grateful and proud to have been part of such an extraordinary television show, 'So You Think You Can Dance,' for 11 seasons. I'm sure there wasn't a person watching that didn't know I loved what I did!!"

The self-proclaimed "conductor of the Hot Tamale Train" first appeared on the show from 2007 to 2009 and then reappeared in 2011 and has been on the show ever since.

Although Fox decided not to renew Murphy's contract for another season, the TV network praised the dancer/choreographer for her impactful work on the show throughout the show's many seasons.

"Mary has been a huge part of 'So You Think You Can Dance,' from mentoring the dancers as a choreographer to inspiring fans as a judge," Fox said in a statement to E! "She will always be part of our Dance family and we wish her continued success."

No one has been named as Murphy's replacement for Season 12 of "So You Think You Can Dance."

Meanwhile, ABC's dance competition series "Dancing with the Stars" is also losing its own dance coach, Cheryl BurkeLast month, it was reported that Burke was leaving "Dancing With the Stars" and will appear on a new NBC variety show. At the time, Us Weekly reported that Burke's new show would be "a competition reality series, and Burke will perform."

Prior to the news of Burke's departure, "Dancing With the Stars" judge Len Goodman also announced that he was leaving the show in order to spend more time at home with his family.
