Kathy Griffin's debut on the E! network's revamped show, "Fashion Police" has stirred up quite a bit of controversy.

RadarOnline reports fans were particularly upset by Griffin's harsh criticism towards Amal Clooney's attire at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday.

"Yeah, she's annoying," Griffin said of George Clooney's new wife. "You heard me! Everybody run in fear! I thought it was weird she had those gloves that remind me of, like, a porn scene, where the guy goes home, and there's the naughty dishwasher and she only has the gloves."

While Griffin's fellow "Fashion Police" co-host Kelly Osbourne agreed with Griffin's criticism, critics and fans put Griffin at fault for what they described as a poor critique.

"Kathy is also getting heat because Amal Clooney apparently has a huge fan base," said a RadarOnline source."No one is talking about canning Kathy over this. Her higher-ups and fans are just coming down on her, and she thinks that she doesn't deserve it."

The Washington Post also slammed Griffin on her fashion criticism at the Golden Globes claiming that the comedian sought to make the show a stand-up performance rather than an actual fashion commentary.

"Griffin, known for happily heaving insults at anyone, treated her inaugural show -- in which the panel critiqued the gowns from Sunday's Golden Globe Awards -- like a stand-up routine," The Washington Post's Emily Yahr wrote. "It made for a slightly uncomfortable dynamic on Monday night's premiere, as the rest of the crew seemed to patiently wait for Griffin to finish her joke; the laugh track to roar; and then attempt some actual fashion criticism."

So far, Griffin has yet to respond publicly to the backlash. However, a RadarOnline source claimed she is upset with the negative commentary on her "Fashion Police" debut as she personally thinks she did a good job.

In September, E! announced Griffin would replace the late Joan Rivers on "Fashion Police."
