Bigfoot Evidence and Sightings 2015: Group Claims to Have Caught Yeti Footage on Video in Russia Forest [Watch]
A group of Russian adventurers claim to have proof a Bigfoot was lurking in a wooded area in the southwestern region of the Adygeya Republic.
The team of Russians from the city of Adygeisk said they were prompted to search for the mysterious creature after they heard reports of Bigfoot sightings in the foothills of the Caucasus Mountains, located in a remote region of Adygea Republic, reports Mirror.
The group questioned two eyewitnesses who told a local TV station they spotted the mythical beast in the area.
"The creature was big, looking like a bear, but not a bear. From the door, we've seen something big and shaggy," said eyewitness Ludmila Hristoforova, according to The Daily Mail.
Homeown Andrei Kazarian also claimed to have heard evidence of Bigfoot.
"I heard footsteps, and we were pretty sure there was no one else around because we knew for sure everyone else was inside the house," Kazarian said. "Although we didn't see anyone, we saw its huge footprints. They were 5-6 centimeters deep and couldn't come from a human foot. We took a plaster cast of them and we estimate that it probably would have taken about 200 kilos to press the snow down that much."
The local team then set off to find the elusive creature, also known as Yeti. That's when they captured a bear-sized humanoid on film. In the video, a large, hairy figure is seen walking swiftly through a snowy area with trees.
The video footage and the footprint cast were then sent to local scientists for further review.
However, skeptics note a number of key details about the video have not been released, including the exact location where it was filmed and the time and date that the video was recorded, reports The Huffington Post.
