In addition to the "Whitney" biopic premiering on Jan. 17, Lifetime will also air an exclusive sit-down interview with Houston's ex-husband, Bobby Brown, on the same day, MadameNoire reports.

As promotion for the tell-all interview, "Bobby Brown: Remembering Whitney," Lifetime released a YouTube clip of the sit-down that featured Brown confessing both he and Houston cheated on each other.

When asked to respond to past tabloid rumors of infidelity in their marriage, Brown replied, "There was infidelity in the marriage. On both parts."

Brown explained, when he and Houston started "drifting apart," they began seeing other people outside of their relationship – a decision he admits was a mistake.

"Both of us cheated on each other. Period. That's hard to swallow for both of us," he said. "I just think when two people that love each other as much as we loved each other, when they start drifting apart, different people come into the situation, into the scenario. We make mistakes. People make mistakes. We're human."

And while Bobby Brown appears to stand behind the film, Houston's family feels the exact opposite.

People reports a rep from Houston's family said they are not happy about Lifetime's decision to air the biopic and feel the film will be an inaccurate representation of who Houston was.

"The family is not happy about this project. Bobby and Whitney had a complicated relationship. I don't even think their loved ones understood it. So, for people who didn't know them to take on what, to some extent, dishonors them – and their relationship – that is the most hurtful," the rep said.

Houston's "Waiting to Exhale" co-star, Angela Bassett, is making her directorial debut with this biopic, Entertainment Tonight reports.

Lifetime's "Whitney" biopic airs Saturday at 8 p.m. EST followed by "Bobby Brown: Remembering Whitney."
