Parents Have Daughters Arrested After Secret House Party
Two teenagers from Connecticut were surprised when a party they secretly threw was crashed by none other than their own mother and father. The teenage girls were even more surprised when their parents decided to call the Glastonbury Police on their own misbehaving daughters.
The two teenagers, one 15-years-old and one 16-years-old, had the house to themselves while their parents were on vacation for the weekend. The girls threw one party on Friday, Oct. 11 and another party on Saturday, Oct. 12. About 15-20 kids attended the parties both nights in order to participate in some unsupervised partying.
According to Agent James Kennedy of the Glastonbury Police, the girls' believed the old adage, three time's the charm, and attempted to throw a third party on Sunday, Oct. 13.
The teenagers' parents were not supposed to return home until Monday. The girls were not aware, however, that their parents decided to come home from vacation a day early. As a result, the parents entered their house to find a group of teenagers getting wild in their own home.
When the parents arrived, many of the partygoers ran from the house. Some, on the other hand stayed, and, according to Fox 4, that is when the parents decided to call the police.
"[It was] the right thing to do," Kennedy told Hartford Courant.
When the police arrived, several kids ran away from the scene of the crime. The teenage girls were charged with permitting a minor to possess alcohol. Because of their ages, their names have not been released.
