Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date, Features and Specs: Smartphone to Have the Exynos 6 Chipset?
The latest rumors about the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S5, say its release date will be in January 2014, and it will officially be offered in stores by February, as WomenCitizen reports.
It can be recalled how its previous Galaxy S4 model was a hit to consumers as 20 million units were claimed to have rendered 20 million units for the first couple of months after its market release. This recent release date rumor is based on the pattern of how the tech company released their old Galaxy smartphone models. The site remembers how Samsung unraveled their S4 in March 2013 but was offered to the market a month after. This happened the same with the S3 as it was revealed by May 2012 and released the market shelves in the succeeding month of June. This went on and on for the S2 and the S model.
On the other hand, the newest Samsung Galaxy S5 rumored features include the 64-bit Exynos chipset. Christian Post reported that it was the Samsung System LSI division direction who made the confirmation that the company is preparing the 64-bit chip manufacturing. Its purpose is known to give way to bigger RAM capacity and will be implemented by mid of 2014. This then may go against the aforementioned release date by February, IBTimes wrote.
Forbes adds up an interesting rumor twist on the questions on many whether the S5 will have something to put up against the fingerprint scanning feature of Apple. They said that if this happens for real, then it may be that Samsung will instead feature an eye scan tool for better security.
Other Samsung Galaxy S5 spec rumors include being weather and dust proof, making it out of tougher material that can endure the roughest of situations. Stuff.TV thinks that when it comes to its price, it won't be any far different from its ancestors.
