In "The Sims 4," Electronic Arts' successful life-simulation game, players confront some of the same challenges that real life holds in store: They must make ends meet when it comes to earning and spending Simoleons, or Sim currency; they need to juggle work and play to keep their virtual creatures happy; and they cannot forget about an active social life and good relationships with their friends and neighbors.

It can all be a bit overwhelming, but the game's creators have included a few cheats that allow players to cut corners and make their Sims' lives that much easier. In order to take advantage of those magic commands, one simply needs to open a text box by holding down the "Shift," "Ctrl" and "C" keys at the same time.

The line that one types in next, in turn, determines the benefit one obtains. The command "kaching," for example, will add 1,000 Simoleons to your Sim's account for which he doesn't need to put in a hard day's work. Here are some of the other options compiled by Video Games Blogger:

If you happen to be a big spender and 1,000 Simoleons just won't cut it for you, try the command "motherlode": This magic word will add a whopping 50,000 currency units to your account.

Tired of your mortgage payments for those outrages real-estate values? In "The Sims 4," the command "FreeRealEstate on" is the solution. Once enabled, that mansion you've been dreaming of will not only be majestic, but free, as well.

Worried that all this cheating will get you in trouble with the authorities? Maybe it's time to change your identity, and there's a command for that, too. The term "resetSim" allows you to pick a new name for your Sim even though the game is in progress.

One cheat that is available, meanwhile, is so absurd that it left the writers at PC Gamer wondering if it may not be a bug, after all. If one holds down the "Shift" and "]" keys at the same time, almost any item selected in the "Build mode" can be grown to "seemingly limitless size." A player who is so inclined can, thus, "build toilets the size of houses."
