The Miss Universe contest is right around the corner, and Migbelis Castellanos, who is representing Miss Venezuela, is feeling confident about her chances.

The 19-year-old beauty queen was asked to name her favorite contestants, and she said it would be all the Latinas, according to Nacion.

She explained that Miss Costa Rica, Karina Ramos, is one of the strongest competitors.

"Costa Rica is a very well-rounded girl," she said. "On top of being a girl who projects when she speaks, she is also very confident in herself."

She added that the women from the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Panama were also very strong, but Castellanos felt she was put on the spot a little.

"Let's see, who else? Oh my God, you make me nervous. Why do you ask me if the judges are the ones who is going to make that call," she joked.

Despite the competition taking place on Sunday, Jan. 25, Castellanos said the beauty queen are still feeling calm.

The last woman crowned Miss Universe was Gabriela Isler, who also hails from Venezuela.

Castellanos said this adds extra pressure.

"On top of Gabriela Isler, we have a political situation in my country that affects all of us," she said. "There are many Venezuelans who are rooted in [the Miami suburb of] Doral. The press is very aware of me. Every time, there's more followers on Instagram. It's a lot of things."

She was asked if she believed holding the contest in Miami gave Latina beauty queens an advantage, but she said it would not.

Before leaving reporters, Castellanos showed off a bit of her humor.

"Well gentlemen, don't miss the Miss Universe finale this Sunday because Costa Rica is doing very well," she said. "It's possible that she and you will take the crown if I let you."

The reporter noted that Castellanos cackled like a telenovela villain after her comment.

Castellanos also spoke to Mezcal TV about having had plastic surgery, according to People En Español.

"Yes, I've had two cosmetic surgeries," she said, adding that she has breast implants and rhinoplasty. "I'm OK with cosmetic surgery, and I wouldn't do anything else. I feel very comfortable and satisfied as I am."
