Kanye West 'Yeezus' Tour Dates 2013: Rapper Opens 'Yeezus' Pop-Up Shop Next Door To Kim Kardashian's Dash Boutique
Kanye West, who calls himself as a fashion icon and the most influential person in fashion of the last 10 years, has opened up his very own pop-up shop in Los Angeles in support of his ongoing 36-date "Yeezus" tour.
Last week, the aspiring designer made his special-edition 80's metal-inspired "Yeezus" tour merchandise available to purchase via PacSun, and he has now launched a pop-up shop in L.A., where more of his new fashion creations will be available. The store offers a wider selection of clothing compared to the limited styles available through PacSun.
The store opened on Sunday afternoon on 8422 Melrose Avenue, which is located right next door to the Kardashian sisters' Dash boutique. There are many high fashion labels, such as Alexander McQueen, Marc Jacobs and A.P.C. near Kanye's shop, as well.
Kanye West's sixth studio album directly confronts racism with the tracks, "Black Skinhead" and "New Slaves," and his store theme and merchandises reflect his message. One of the T-shirts features a skull with the confederate flag as the background and the word "I ain't comin' down," while another features a skeletal grim reaper wearing the flag as a cloak and carrying a scythe. Other shirts also feature skeletons in various positions, including one kneeling and praying with the words, "Yeezus wants you."
West's recently-became fiancée Kim Kardashian proudly posted up a photo of the two side-by-side shops on Instagram with the caption following, "HIS & HERS."
Doors stay open until 7 p.m., and the "Yeezus" pop-up store will be in town until Wednesday.
