Mariah Carey, Luis Miguel Relationship: Singer Allegedly Denies Knowing Ex Luis Miguel
Mariah Carey dated Latin singer Luis Miguel in the early aughts, and if reports are true, then it's something the singer would rather people forgot.
According to Radio Formula, Carey was asked about her former relationship with Miguel, and she allegedly denied knowing Miguel.
According to sources, Carey does not like talking about the period she dated Miguel, and she has supposedly gotten rid of any pictures she had of him.
It has been widely reported that after the end of her relationship with Miguel, Carey had a bout of depression. The Daily Mail notes that Miguel was her most serious relationship after her marriage to Tommy Mottola.
Recently, Carey split up from husband Nick Cannon.
Despite the end of their relationship, Cannon has only positive things to say about Carey.
"What infuriates me most is to hear people slander @MariahCarey," he said. "I will forever be indebted to her for blessing me with our children."
Cannon actually wrote a series of tweets, defending the singer.
"I will always love her unconditionally for this and so much more," he added. "@MariahCarey is an amazing Mother and I trust her wholeheartedly."
According to TMZ, Cannon filed for divorce on Dec. 12.
Carey has had a rough few couple of months.
In December, she sang her hit Christmas song, "All I Want for Christmas Is You," and was met with backlash for not hitting the high notes.
Carey was not supposed to sing live at the event, according to E! News.
The singer talked about the ceremony on Twitter.
"Last night's situation was beyond my control. I apologize to all that showed up, you know that I would never want to disappoint you," she said on Twitter.
While on "Watch What Happens Live," Jennifer Lopez was recently asked if she'd rather see Carey or Britney Spears if she only had one night in Vegas, notes dlisted.
Lopez answered very simply.
"Britney, cause she dances," she said.
