Niall Horan and Katy Perry are now officially engaged. After sending out his proposal via Twitter, the "ROAR" singer has responded to the One Direction lad with a "Yes."

It's not a secret anymore that Niall has a thing for Katy, and Katy also has a connection with Niall. At the MTV Video Music Awards in 2012, the two shared a little smack on stage, while 1D was receiving their award for Best Pop Video. This was followed by a little chitchat on Twitter - Horan jokingly tweeted that Katy and him are "official", while Katy replied with "I'll be you Mrs. Robinson..."

Just a week ago, Niall again showed his love for Katy by proposing to her on Twitter after Katy gave her a shout out on The X Factor U.K.

"I love you @katyperry ! Thank you! Ps . Will u marry me?" the 1D member tweeted.

Katy didn't reply on Twitter, but as Niall confirmed, the songstress replied with a "yes" making the engagement official.

"she said yes ! It's happening! Haha," Niall tweeted together with an Instagram photo of the two together. Katy and the One Direction lads were together at a Tokyo radio station on November 1.

Niall also shared a photo of One Direction with Perry, with a cute little caption: "Me and my groomsmen and my lovely wife hahahaha."

While the wedding may never push through, with Katy Perry seemingly still in love with singer/ songwriter John Mayer, Niall's little love affair with her is still too cute to ignore. Especially with Horan being a young 20-year-old, it might be crazy to know that you are somehow engaged with your crush.

Reminiscing their little smack on stage, Niall told MTV: "I don't think there will ever be anything cooler than kissing her...until I marry her maybe!"
