One Direction Songs List & Lyrics: New 'Midnight Memories' Single 'Story of My Life' Music Video Released [WATCH]
After teasing the video for the latest single off their upcoming album "Midnight Memories" weeks ago, One Direction finally has released the official music video for "Story of My Life" on Sunday.
Directed by Ben Winston, the nostalgic visual takes the British boys, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, back to their childhood days. It also features appearances from the guys' real family members, including their parents, siblings and grandparents.
The beginning of the music video shows One Direction developing their childhood photos in a dark room. As the photos come to life, the boys recreate old memories with their families and share their life story.
The dated photo of Zayn Malik and his sister in their bedroom is the first one to come to life. Zayn's sister puts her hair in pigtails to recreate a photo of the two as kids. Niall Horan's old photo, which features dark-haired himself playing violin alongside his brother playing guitar, then comes to life.
Each of One Direction members spends some time in the moments and places in the old photo. Liam Payne recreates a photo himself in formal attire posing with his mom, dad and sisters, while Harry Styles recreates a photo of himself eating sausages while sitting on the couch with his mom.
In addition, there is more emotional and heartfelt cut in the video. A photo of Louis Tomlinson's grandparents and great-parents is shown, and his great-grandparents fade away when the picture enters the present.
In between paying homage to their childhood, One Direction performs in a big space, filled with more photos of them. Toward the end of the visual, the photos turn back into their original form.
The very personal music video certainly compliments 1D's sweet ballad, warming the hearts of many. "Story of My Life" is the latest track from One Direction's forthcoming third studio album, "Midnight Memories." The 18-track album will hit store on November 25.
