Eminem New Album 2013 Songs: Rapper Performs 'Berzerk' And 'Survival' On 'Saturday Night Live' [VIDEO]
On Saturday, November 2, Eminem marked his sixth appearance on NBC's "Saturday Night Live," just a few days before the release of his highly-anticipated upcoming studio album, "The Marshall Mathers LP 2." The Detroit rapper, appearing as a musical guest, gave the audience two energetic performances of his first two singles from the album, "Berzerk" and "Survival," respectively.
Eminem first appeared to his first set in a fur-hooded parka to perform "Berzerk," the platinum hit from his new album. The rapper rocked the stage with the old-school hip-hop sound, which was accompanied by the Def Jam Records co-founder and acclaimed producer, also the executive producer of "MMLP2," Rick Rubin.
Rubin, on the turntables, was sporting an olive-colored parka, a black skull cap and a pair of shades, as well as his signature full gray beard. DJ Rubin cued Billy Squier's "The Stroke," which "Berzerk" is sample from, before spinning into the Beastie Boys-inspired song.
Later in the show, the bleach-blonde Slim Shady returned to the stage wearing a snow camouflage jacket to perform for his second set. The rapper gave the crowd a performance of his next big single "Survival," which was joined by the sexy pop singer Skylar Grey, clad in a crop top. Eminem overall gave a powerful performance along with this live powerhouse band, while Grey was singing the catchy hook.
The "Rap God" Eminem's forthcoming eighth studio album, "The Marshall Mathers LP 2," features both hit tracks, "Berzerk" and "Survival." The album is slated to hit stores tomorrow, on Tuesday, November 5.
