Nokia Lumia 929 Verizon Specs Rumors Leak: Verizon Wireless Windows Phone 8 Smartphone with 5-inch Display and 20 Megapixel Camera Coming Soon
Nokia's next Lumia smartphone has unofficially been revealed as specifications for the device leaked on the Internet.
The Nokia Lumia 929 smartphone is reportedly scheduled to be an exclusive smartphone for U.S. mobile carrier Verizon Wireless, and is "bigger, more powerful" than the Lumia 928.
According to WPCentral, the Lumia 929 will sport a 5-inch AMOLED display with 1920x1080 resolution.
The unconfirmed smartphone will allegedly be available in a 32GB internal storage model with 2GB of RAM. A microSD card slot will not be equipped for the Lumia 929, therefore, potential owners cannot add additional memory to the device unless it is supported by a Cloud feature.
The camera specifications for the rumored Lumia 929 include a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera. However, the photos on the rear-facing camera will be split into 16 megapixels and 5 megapixels. A front-facing camera will be available on the Lumia 929, but the megapixels were not disclosed.
The wireless connectivity for the Lumia 929 reportedly include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth version 4.0, and NFC.
The Windows Phone 8 device features approximately three HAAC microphones, My Verizon Mobile, Nokia StoryTeller, NFL Mobile, Verizon Tones, and VZ Navigator, to name a few.
The colors models for the unconfirmed Lumia smartphone are "glossy white" and "matte black."
"Overall, Verizon appears to have a winner on their hands with this phone," wrote WPCentral Editor-in-Chief Daniel Rubino. "At 1080P, the display looks fantastic and the smaller size (when compared to the [Nokia] Lumia 1520), means more people will gravitate towards it when looking for a new phone. The high end specs should satisfy most tech enthusiasts and the Nokia build quality should make this a great seller."
On Twitter, @evleaks tweeted an alleged image of the Lumia 929, which features the Verion logo on the top-left corner of the device.
A release date for the device is unknown.
