Super Bowl 2015 Predictions: Pitbull Backs Patriots, Will Perform for Team at After Party
Rapper Pitbull wants the New England Patriots to win, he revealed in a radio interview with Jenny McCarthy on SiriusXM radio, SeattlePI reported.
Not only has Pitbull chosen the Patriots as the team he will support Sunday, but he will also perform for them during the team's after-party.
Win or lose, Pitbull will play for the Patriots. The platinum-selling rapper from Miami did not immediately answer McCarthy's question, until McCarthy's husband Donnie Wahlberg mentioned his Boston roots.
Pitbull then said he would be cheering for the Patriots.
The rapper has been awfully busy. He performed at the World Cup opening ceremony this past summer, hosted the American Music Awards and is in the middle of a tour. Before the Super Bowl, he will perform on Saturday night in Las Vegas with Enrique Iglesias.
Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Perez, just turned 34 on Jan. 15 and was given the key to the city of Miami from the mayor, according to ContactMusic.com.
The mayor said, "We are so proud of Mr. Perez's commitment to his hometown. Both at home and internationally, Pitbull embodies the cultural richness and diversity that unites the residents of the City of Miami.
"Mr. 305 (Pitbull) is a beacon of inspiration for future generations. Pitbull is Miami."
