Ariana Grande & Big Sean Relationship News Update 2015: 'Love Me Harder' Singer's Ex-Boyfriend Writes Breakup Song
Ariana Grande's ex-boyfriend Nathan Sykes has written a song about their breakup for his upcoming solo debut album.
The Wanted member recently revealed that he has penned a track inspired by his failed romance with the "Love Me Harder" singer but assured that she has nothing to worry about.
"One of the songs is about Ariana," he told Daily Star. "She hasn't heard it yet. Knowing Ari, she'll corner me the next time we bump into each other and demand I play her the song."
"It is a nice song. She has nothing to worry about. I'm not scared of her reaction," he continued. "It's very complimentary and emotional actually. She will hear it and think, 'Oh so you do have feelings.'"
Sykes previously teased the breakup song in a recent interview with The Sun: "The most emotional song is about me telling myself not to be angry at the breakup because sometimes things just don't work out. That's life."
The British artist then explained why things did not work out between him and Grande. "The time we broke up was really tough," he said. "The Wanted decided to take a break and I lost my granddad. I was not in the best place. She was my first grown up relationship. But sometimes you have to go into a place like that to be able to find the best music out of it.
Ultimately, the "Almost Is Never Enough" couple amicably split up because they were far apart from each other. "And there's no bad blood. She's a lovely girl," Sykes added. "We split because of the long-distance thing. There was that amazing moment at the start of the relationship where we both convinced ourselves, 'Yeah, long distance won't matter. It will be fine.' But it was impossible."
