Grammys Awards 2015 Date, Nominees & Performers: Common Reveals Gwyneth Paltrow Will Introduce Beyonce Knowles Performance at Grammys
Beyoncé is officially set to perform at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night.
The six-time Grammy nominee will take the stage to sing the famous gospel "Take My Hand, Precious Lord," introducing a highly anticipated performance of the "Selma" song "Glory" by Common and fellow Golden Globe winner (for Best Original Song) John Legend.
"We're getting an introduction from the great Beyoncé," the Chicago rapper confirmed the exciting news to Rolling Stone. "That's a whole other level, to have her singing 'Precious Lord.' I'm excited."
In the official soundtrack of "Selma," R&B and jazz recording artist Ledisi sings Martin Luther King Jr.'s favorite song.
"It's the Grammys stage, so we're going to deliver some of the best performances we ever had," Common added. "Expect the spirit of what the movie is about, the spirit of what the movement is about, and the spirit of what 'Glory' is about."
The packed list of Grammy performers includes recently added duets from Sam Smith and Mary J. Blige, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and Album of the Year nominee Beck, Ed Sheeran and reunited 1970s rock band ELO, as well as jazz legend Herbie Hancock, John Mayer and Roots drummer Questlove.
Kanye West will be playing twice on the show, once as a solo artist and again with "FourFiveSeconds" collaborators Rihanna and Paul McCartney. Other mesh-ups feature Lady Gaga with Tony Bennett, Hozier with Annie Lennox, Jessie J with Tom Jones, and Gwen Stefani with Adam Levine.
Ariana Grande, Pharrell, Usher, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Madonna, AC/DC, Sia, Eric Church and Miranda Lambert are also scheduled to perform.
Beyoncé will be introduced by good pal Gwyneth Paltrow. The 2015 Grammy Awards airs live on Sunday, Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
