Google Nexus 10 2 Tablet Release Date, Specs, Price, Latest Rumors: Google To Release New Tablet On Black Friday?
Google is looking to keep cutting into Apple's iPad sales with its next Nexus tablet.
Rumors suggest that the Google Nexus 10 2 is on its way and will feature a 10 inch screen with one of the highest resolutions we've ever seen on a tablet. The rumor mill indicates that the tablet could be on the shelves by the time customers hit the stores for the anticipated Black Friday sales, but the company has yet to make any announcements regarding a release date.
Google's website displays a photo of the Nexus 10 and lists the starting price of the tablet at $399. The web page also details the special features of the tablet.
"With a dazzling 2560-by-1600 (300ppi) display and ultra-powerful graphics processor, Nexus 10 places you right inside the action with picture-perfect performance," the site says. "Over 4-million pixels in your hands means that text is sharper, HD movies are more vivid and photos come to life in stunning detail."
Google has enjoyed the benefits of having a tablet that features such great screen resolution specifications, and with Apple facing increasing pressure to produce a tablet with retina display, this could work to Google's advantage.
Among other features highlighted by Google's webpage include the versatility of the tablet and how it is able to conform to each user's favored settings and information.
"Nexus 10 was made for everyone to enjoy. Multi-user support lets each user have their own separate space - just turn on your tablet and tap your photo to sign in to your own homescreen, apps, email, photos and storage. And since Android is built with multitasking at its core, it's a snap to switch between users - no need to log in and out each time."
