Miley Cyrus MTV EMA 2013 Performance: Singer Twerks and Smokes Marijuana on Stage
Just a few weeks after her jaw dropping performance during the VMAs, the whole world had been waiting eagerly for Miley Cyrus' next major appearance. The 2013 MTV European Music Awards held in Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome on Sunday, November 10, was the best place to WOW the world once again. For onlookers everywhere, the wait proved to be well worth it.
Compared to her barely there outfit during the VMAs, Miley was dressed in a more conservative skintight silver dress but she still managed to inject her opening performance of "We Can't Stop" with high energy out-of-this-world alien twerking and charged up provocative attitude.
Social media has been set ablaze talking about the 20-year-old's two performances as well as her acceptance speech for the award for Best Video for her hit song "Wrecking Ball." Her speech as succinct and the former Disney star then joked, "I couldn't fit this award in my bag, but I did find this." and pulled out a supposed joint.
To the surprise of the crowd, clad in a white high cut leotard topped with a thick fur shrug, the star lit up what appeared to be marijuana from her Chanel purse and proceeded to take a puff.
Well, that's one way to celebrate receiving an MTV EMA Award.
Marijuana is technically illegal in the Netherlands, possession of small amounts, less than five grams is tolerated. The tolerance policy was instutited in the 1970s but since 2008, public smoking has been banned and only allowed in "coffee shops" where marijuana can be purchased.

After the show, Miley managed to keep quiet about what happened but did manage to tweet, "Stay in school & Be Kind. Other than that HAVE FUN."
