Xbox One vs PS4 Specs, Pre-Orders & Graphics: PlayStation 4 Games Will Work Through Xbox One, Microsoft Confirms
The Playstation 4 and Xbox One game consoles will be released in mid-November in the United States, but Microsoft and Sony will eventually roll out the units to other nations across the world.
At least part of the international market so far seems to favor the Playstation 4 after a recent survey found that Australian people are nearly twice as likely to buy a Playstation 4 as opposed to an Xbox One game console.
The Xbox One is listed at $499 in the United States while the Playstation 4 is priced at $399. The extra $100 price tag on the Xbox One does not come as much of a surprise after the same thing happened with the release of the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. However, the game consoles seem much more evenly matched than ever before and experts have been agreeing; Battlefield 4 Executive Producer Patrick Bach said to mmgm.com, "Even on an extremely high level, I think they have more things in common,"
In other recent news surrounding the game consoles in the time leading up to the release dates, Microsoft confirmed to the Penny Arcade Report that gamers will be able to play their Playstation 4 through an Xbox One.
"So yes, it's going to be very possible to play the PlayStation 4 using the Xbox One, and the lag, Microsoft's engineer, Jeff Henshaw will be very hard to detect," Ben Kuchera of the Penny Arcade Report writes. "You could also hook up a Wii U and play the new Mario game, and then use voice commands to put that in the background and switch over to an Xbox One game without changing inputs."
