NFL Scores & Schedule 2013: Monday Night Football November 11 Preview - Miami Dolphins Look To Refocus vs. Winless Buccaneers
With such a negative storm cloud hovering around the Miami Dolphins organization in the aftermath of the Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito controversy, people in Miami just want to watch some football.
The 4-4 Dolphins will be back on the field tonight to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in an intrastate matchup on the primetime Monday Night Football stage.
"Right now we're focused on sticking together as a team, having each others' backs as a team, and getting ready to play a football game," Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill said, according to ESPN. "At the end of the day, we're playing a Tampa Bay team on the road on Monday. So we have to deal with this, yes, but we also have to get ready to play a football game."
Miami's opponent on Monday night is winless at 0-8 but the Bucs also turned in one of the best performances of their miserable season last week when they lost by a field goal to the Seattle Seahawks, 27-24. The 27 points were a season-best for Tampa Bay, which is now the lone winless team in the league after the Jacksonville Jaguars earned their first victory of the year on Sunday.
Dolphins' quarterback Ryan Tannehill enters the game with 11 touchdowns compared to 9 interceptions and he needs just 23 yards passing to reach the 2000 yards passing mark on the season. Bucs quarterback Mike Glennon has 8 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions on the season after Josh Freeman had 2 touchdowns and 3 interceptions earlier in the year.
Kickoff for tonight is slated for 8:30 p.m. ET.
