Amir Khan is being linked to a showdown against fellow Briton Kell Brook, but the Bolton native is not interested in facing the reigning International Boxing Federation (IBF) welterweight champion.

Khan, who holds a 30-3 record with 19 knockouts, is aware of the growing call about an all-Briton showdown against Brook, but the 28-year-old reiterated that his domestic rival is not on the same level as he is at this point of their respective careers.

"There is no point in me fighting him just yet. Kell Brook is not on the same level as Amir Khan at the moment," Khan said in an interview with ITV. "He'll get there one day and obviously he's begging for the fight against me. But like I said, I'm on a different level and I want to fight the elite level of boxing."

Khan pointed out that despite Brook's perfect record in 33 fights, the Yorkshire native is still not popular among casual boxing fans. Khan said that he is focused on landing fights against big-name boxers like Miguel Cotto, Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

"My name is being mentioned with the likes of Manny Pacquiao and Mayweather, Miguel Cotto," Khan said. "When Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao get asked who Kell Brook is, they say, 'We don't know who Kell Brook is' -- so I think that says it all."

Khan has been lobbying for a fight against Mayweather since last year, but the reigning pound-for-pound king opted to face Marcos Maidana twice instead of giving him a shot. The former lightweight champion also expressed interest in facing Pacquiao, but the Filipino boxing icon is focused on landing a bout against Mayweather.

Khan, who scored impressive victories against Luis Collazo and Devon Alexander last year, also called out Cotto on Saturday on Twitter, saying that he is open to facing the Puerto Rican champion.

Khan said that he will take a fight against Cotto "in a heartbeat" as long as the 34-year-old will put his World Boxing Council middleweight title on the line for a catchweight of 155 pounds. He said that a showdown against Cotto will be big because of their boxing styles, and hinted that he wants the fight to happen in UK.

Cotto, who has not fought since defeating Sergio Martinez for the WBC middleweight title in June last year, is still looking for an opponent for his first title defense after negotiations for a fight against Saul Alvarez went down.
