The Bellas are back in action, but they might not be on their A-game in "Pitch Perfect 2" as seen in the latest trailer that was released Tuesday. 

After a performance for the president's birthday goes awfully wrong and a little extra skin is shown, the Bellas are replaced by their European equivalents.

Fat Amy is the reason why the Bellas become suspended. She was hanging from the ceiling and part of her uniform ripped off, exposing her to the president and television viewers.

The Bellas then plea to become reinstated. They offer to compete against the world in order to get the right to perform again.

"Pitch Perfect 2" comes out May 15, and the Bellas have their work cut out for them. They will try and win a competition that no American a cappella group has ever won.

The movie has been long rumored since characters in the movie Skylar Astin (Jesse Swanson) and Rebel Wilson (Fat Amy) had meetings with Universal Studios in late 2012 to discuss a sequel. By April 2013, the movie was confirmed, according to MovieWeb.

Anna Kendrick and Wilson will both return in the film. Kendrick will play Beca and Wilson will play Fat Amy. New cast member Chrissie Fit will play Flo.

The first trailer for the movie was shown at the Super Bowl on Feb. 1. The Super Bowl trailer did not tell viewers much about the movie besides that several of the Green Bay Packers will make cameos in the movie.

When Tuesday's trailer was released, viewers were able to figure out that the Bellas' main goal in the film is to get reinstated and to do that they have to win a world championship.
