Sony's PlayStation 4 will finally be released tomorrow. In preparation, some stores will be holding midnight launch events tonight, including some special events in New York City and San Francisco.

Best Buy

Best Buy stores all across the United States will be holding midnight launch events. Shoppers are advised to come early, especially if they did not pre-order their PS4.

"...all of our stores will be utilizing signage to manage their lines along with employee assistance to ensure everyone is aware of the process throughout the day," Best Buy said. "Stores will begin processing pre-order customers prior to processing any customers looking to purchase a console."

Those with pre-orders should come prepared with their order number, the card used they used to order their console and a government-issued photo ID.

Sony Stores

Sony Stores will also be holding midnight launch events. Shoppers can begin lining up at 10 p.m. tonight, where they will receive a wristband that grants them the honor of buying a PS4 bundle from Sony's limited supply.

WalMart

Some Walmart stores will be open at midnight in preparation for the PS4 release. Sony recommends that shoppers call Walmart in order to check on their local store's PS4 supply.

GameStop

The popular video game store will, of course. be open at midnight.

New York

Sony will also hold two launch events in celebration of their newest console. 444 PS4s will be held at the Standard Hotel in New York City. It is most likely that a line has already formed outside the venue.

San Francisco

A GameStop at 830 Market St. in San Francisco will hold a special event beginning at 6 p.m. local time. The event will feature free food, giveaways and playable demos.
