Drake Hot New 'If You're Reading This It's Too Late' Album Release Date, Tracklist & Download: OVO Rapper Surprises Fans With Songs Featuring Lil Wayne & More [Video]
Drake has fans freaking out after releasing a surprise album, titled "If You're Reading This It's Too Late," without warning.
The Toronto emcee premiered the 17-track project, which features collaborations from Young Money mentor Lil Wayne, Travi$ Scott and OVO Sound's in-house singer PARTYNEXTDOOR, on iTunes early Friday morning via Cash Money Records.
Drizzy's latest LP also includes previously released cuts like "6 God" and "Used To," which appears on Weezy's most recent mixtape "Sorry 4 the Wait 2," as well as "Jungle" -- the same title given to his 14-minute moody short film, shot in Los Angeles and his hometown.
Longtime producers Boi-1da and Noah "40" Shebib contributed to the "0 to 100 / The Catch Up" rapper's brand new record, along with Vinyz, who recently teamed up with Big Sean on "Blessings" featuring Drake and Kanye West, Illmind, Wondagurl, Frank Dukes and more.
In addition to a listing of the album's production credits, Drake posted a hand-written note mentioning Madonna, Riff Raff, the Raptors and himself on the official OVO website.
P. Reign, an OVO affiliate who collaborated with Drizzy on "DnF" and "Schemin' Up," revealed last month that his pal was going to drop a mixtape.
"I know Drake's dropping a mixtape that I've already heard a lot of and it's crazy," he told Karen Civil. "I think it's some of the best I've heard from him in my life and I already know off Drake's mixtape the world is going to shake."
The Reps Up member's statement followed the Toronto Raptors' guard Demar DeRozan's interview with NBA TV back in late November in which he first spilled the beans about the "Hold On, We're Going Home" rapper's project, hinting at its possible release date.
"It's incredible having that type of artist of his magnitude be able to support us the way he do. Because he definitely really do support us; it's not just for show," said DeRozan. "He come in the locker room, [we] talk to him. I talked to him the other night. Actually, he said he wants to give me his mixtape that come out in January."
With that being said, it is still unclear whether "If You're Reading This It's Too Late" is Drake's fourth studio album tentatively titled "Views From the 6," following 2013's "Nothing Was the Same," or a price-tagged mixtape.
