Eminem Marshall Mathers LP 2 Release Date & Tracklist: 10 Songs From Album on Billboard's Hot R&B and Hip-Hop Songs Chart
Eminem is continuing to own the Billboard charts with the release of his eighth studio album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2.
Eminem now has 10 songs on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, and all of MMLP2's released singles are still on the list.
Eminem's collaboration with Rihanna, "The Monster," is Eminem's first song to ever reach No. 1 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and is currently enjoying its second week on the top. The DVLP-produced "Rap God" is at No. 3. "Berzerk" is at No. 7. "Survival," which is featured on Call of Duty: Ghosts, is at No. 10.
In addition to released singles, Eminem has six other songs on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart that have not even been released yet.
"Beautiful Pain," a collaboration with Sia, is at No. 30 on the list. "Love Game," featuring Kendrick Lamar, is at No. 31. "Headlights," Eminem's collaboration with fun. lead singer Nate Ruess, is at No. 35. "Bad Guy" is at No. 38. "Rhyme or Reason" is at No. 41, and "Legacy" is at No. 44.
Meanwhile, MMLP2 debuted at No 1. on the Billboard 200 chart and the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart by selling 792,000 copies its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. This means MMLP2 has had the second highest sales week of 2013. The only album to enjoy a better sales week this year was Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience, which sold 968,000 during its debut week. MMLP2 takes the second place spot away from Drake's Nothing Was the Same, which debuted with 658,000 copies sold.
And as if these figures do not make the album epic enough, the singles released from MMLP2 has made Eminem the first artist to have at least four songs in the top-20 of the Billboard Hot 100 as a lead artist since The Beatles did it in April of 1964. "The Monster," peaked at No. 3 on the Hot 100. "Berzerk," "Survival" and "Rap God" peaked at numbers 15, 16 and 17, respectively.
