'Saturday Night Live' 40 Years Anniversary Show Cast: 93-year-old Betty White and 'American Sniper' Star Bradley Cooper Kiss on SNL Special [Watch]
Bradley Cooper and Betty White stole the show with a kiss during a sketch on the "Saturday Night Live" 40th Anniversary TV special that aired Sunday night.
Cooper and White were among the star-studded guests who appeared in the "SNL40" sketch called "The Californians," a fake soap opera that makes fun of the stereotypes of Angelenos. Cooper played a pool boy while White played Aunt Lana, who met him when her hot air balloon was destroyed.
Taylor Swift, Kristen Wiig, Laraine Newman, Vanessa Bayer, Kerry Washington, Bill Hader and Kenan Thompson also took part in the sketch.
The scene-stealer was when White and Cooper locked lips in a passionate kiss that seemed a little too long for comfort.
Kissing Cooper is likely the most excitement White has had since the September Empire News story "Actress Betty White, 92, Dyes Peacefully In Her Los Angeles Home" which sent fans into a panic that the beloved nonagenarian had died. The paper capitalized on the dye-die homophones for the story, and her fans fell for it.
The article was about White not being a natural blonde and dying her hair to maintain her notorious golden locks.
It's hard to say if the kiss was more exciting for Cooper than "American Sniper" grossing $304 million, and romancing both Rachel McAdams and Emma Stone in the upcoming film "Aloha" scheduled to hit screens on May 29.
The "SNL" special included current and past cast members, such as Chevy Chase, Jimmy Fallon, Eddie Murphy and musical performances by Paul McCartney, Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake and Kanye West, among others.
Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin paid tribute to former "SNL" cast member and "30 Rock" co-star Tracy Morgan, who is recovering from a brain injury sustained after a June 2014 car accident.
The White and Cooper kiss wasn't the only excitement at SNL 40." Sarah Palin yelled at hecklers as she left the "Saturday Night Live" 40th anniversary party early Monday morning, "to get a job."
