The next all-new episode of "The Originals" will be intense now that Hayley and Jackson are officially married and Finn killed Kol.

Hayley's big wedding day finally arrived during the last episode of "The Originals," titled "I Love You, Goodbye." However, in light of the joyous ceremony, TV viewers were also shocked to see the death of Kol Mikaelson, who was cursed by Finn.

When asked about the decision to kill Daniel Sharman's character off the show, executive producer Michael Narducci admitted that the staff was "bummed about it, too," reports E! News.

"The moment we came to it was when we realized that in order to create stakes of what Finn was willing to do and the danger that he poses, someone had to suffer. At the same time, we've walked this line with Kol with being self-absorbed and manipulative and selfish vs. someone who actually is willing to behave in a way some would even call heroic. When Kol went into that bodega with the intention of helping Davina to rescue her friends, that was the most heroic thing we've seen from Kol. Kol had a real affection for Davina that was above and beyond his desire to get daggers and have a powerful ally. But doing that led to his death," he said.

The EP also teased how Rebekah and Davina will react to Kol's death.

"Now, in the wake of this departure, Rebekah [Maisie Richardson-Sellers] and Davina are both going to have an opinion about Kol's death. In the past, we've seen witches die and come back, like Davina or Papa Tunde or Bastiana or Genevieve. Is there a possibility that we haven't seen the last of Kol Mikaelson? That's a pretty interesting question. We certainly haven't seen the last of flashbacks that deal with Kol and his story and his family. In those ways, fans of Kol can rest assured that his story on The Originals is long from finished," he said.

According to Dread Central, a synopsis for the next episode, "They All Asked for You," reads as follows:

"When a dangerous run-in with a coven of vengeful witches forces Rebekah (guest star Maisie Richardson-Sellers) to align with Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), they quickly discover that the body Rebekah is currently inhabiting has a checkered past. Upon learning that Rebekah is in danger, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) seeks out a respected elder witch, Josephine (guest star Meg Foster), in the hopes she might offer her assistance.

"Meanwhile, tensions build when Klaus (Joseph Morgan) clashes with Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Jackson (guest star Nathan Parsons) over how best to protect baby Hope from Finn (Yusuf Gatewood). Elsewhere, Freya (guest star Riley Voelkel) convinces Finn to bring her to Mikael (guest star Sebastian Roche), the father she hasn't seen in over a thousand years.

"Lastly, a confrontation with Freya leaves Elijah and Klaus questioning whether they can trust their long-lost sister."

Season 2, Episode 14 of "The Originals," " They All Asked for You," will premiere Monday, March 9, on the CW.
