Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Breakup News Update 2015: 'Still Alice' Actress Defends 'Twilight,' Says She Is 'Proud' of Movies
Does Kristen Stewart regret starring in "Twilight" now that she is no longer dating Robert Pattinson?
While recently sitting down with Interview Magazine, Stewart insisted she has no regrets playing high school girl Bella Swan in the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's fantasy romance novel "The Twilight Saga."
"It wasn't entirely cohesive. We ebbed and flowed. I will definitely acknowledge that. But the intention is so pure in a weird way," she said.
"Anybody who wants to talk s--t about 'Twilight,' I completely get it, but there's something there that I'm endlessly, and to this day, f--king proud of," she continued. "My memory of it felt -- still feels -- really good."
Moreover, the "Still Alice" actress credited the "Twilight" movie for shaping who she is today.
"People are always comparing s--t. Like, comparing 'Twilight' to things and trying to figure out why I've made certain decisions that I've made, and I always say every single moment that has led me to this moment has made me who I am," she said.
"Every movie that I've done, they don't stand independently from one another because a little bit of me is in every single one of those, and it's part of my own personal growth."
Kristen Stewart's latest statement follows her ex-boyfriend infamously dissing his role of Edward Cullen, a vampire teen and the immortal soul mate of Bella, in the hit film back in 2011.
"I would love to say that I am because all the people who kind of ... The people who don't like it are generally people who haven't seen it and then are all judgmental and stuff and cynical people," Pattinson said to Moviefone when asked if he would be a "Twilight" fan if he hadn't starred in it. "But I think I am a judgmental and cynical person who would just mindlessly hate it without ever having seen anything."
