iOS 7 Update Release Date 2013: Apple Releases iOS 7.1 Beta For Developers
Apple has released the new iOS 7.1 beta and developers will be testing it prior to its official release.
The iOS 7 operating system has already undergone a series of changes and updates since it was released in September. The 7.1 update is expected to fix bugs and technical issues, which would be much more low-key when compared to the original iOS 7 release when users were greeted with a completely new design and several new features.
Apple warned users that the beta update is very specifically only supposed to be used by developers and that any others who try to download it could wind up with an "unusable" phone.
"This version of iOS is intended for installation only on devices registered with the Apple Developer Program. Attempting to install this version of iOS in an unauthorized manner could put your device in an unusable state," Apple said.
Apple has had a busy season thus far as the tech giant has rolled out two new iPhones as well as new iPads along with the new and revamped operating system. Apple has been facing more intense competition and it has likely played a role in their recent releases. For example, Apple had never before released two iPhones at the same time, but they noticed that other companies were having success with simultaneous releases.
The iPhone 5s has been more successful than its cheaper counterpart, the iPhone 5c. Apple has even started to cut back on its iPhone 5c production less than two months after the release.
