'Sons of Anarchy' Season 6 Episode 11 Review - The Bloodbath Continues
Fans of the bloody "Sons of Anarchy" can rest easy knowing that the bloodshed continues, and definitely will continue further on into the season if last night's episode is any indication of what's to come.
First and foremost, let's get this out of the way: Clay is dead. Jax killed him. Fans of the show already knew and suspected as much, but as to how he died...well, until last night, that remained a mystery. The mystery was solved, however, in the most brutal and gruesome way possible: Clay was first shot in the throat, then a dozen times in the chest, after Jax bailed him out of jail. (One would think that a convenient shanking in the prison yard would have been much easier, if ever-so-less effective, especially considering he committed this heinous act in front of Gemma, Nero, and Tara...)
Speaking of Tara, the beleaguered DA was all-too-happy to offer her a plea for no jail time...so long as Clay delivered Galen (himself a victim of Jax's brutal method of murder) and the guns. Never mind the belly-aching that all she got was "a pile of dead bodies"...Tara finally agreed to take the deal, provided the DA gave her 24 hours to do so.
And what an eventful 24 hours it was: Tara took the time given to her to save Bobby...and collect a crucial piece of evidence in the process (the bullet which would irrevocably put SAMCRO at the scene of the crime).
But don't think that blood was all that was in the air for this episode: Wayne confessed to Gemma that he was in love with her, as Gemma (sort of) proposed to Nero. When Gemma mentioned the idea of marriage to Nero, he replied, curtly, "No offense. I’ve seen what happens to your husbands. It ain’t pretty."
