Madden 25 Player Ratings & Review for PS4 & Xbox One: Next-Gen Version Players Smarter Than Xbox 360, PS3 Versions
Madden 25 is among one of the many already-established games that will be making its way to the Xbox One and Playstation 4, but how does it compare with the older generation Madden games?
Overall the popular football game is largely unchanged on the new platforms, but there are some enhancements and exclusive features that you won't be able to find on the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 versions.
As mentioned before, IGN's Bobby Amos said in a review that he would actually prefer the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions of Madden 25 as opposed to the next-gen consoles. Many people will likely make this argument, with the reasons stemming from redundancy and a lack of significant improvements to match the extra price you pay for the next-gen consoles.
One area in which Amos does notice improvements is in the way each player's awareness and ability affects the game.
"These next-gen players are definitely smarter, and I really like watching how they react to real football situations," he said in his review for IGN. "Watching Champ Bailey defensively dissect one of my offensive plays was great. I planned on throwing an out route to my receiver for a first down, but Champ read the play and made his move right as I started my throwing motion. By the time the ball arrived he was already in position to pick it off and head the other way for a touchdown."
Madden gets its fair share of criticism since the game series rarely undergoes any significant changes in terms of the gameplay. With that being said, sometimes changing things too much can just ruin a game. All things considered, Madden still remains one of the top sports video games in the world.
