One Direction 2013 New Album: Midnight Memories Leaked, Fans Freak Out [AUDIO]
One Direction has planned to release their highly anticipated third studio album, "Midnight Memories" on November 25. However, their original plan gets interfered as the record gets leaked online a week early, causing many frowns here and there.
"Midnight Memories" is expected to show more mature and edgier sound, full of pop-rock numbers, folk-influenced songs and upbeat party jams. Some of One Directioners are refusing to listen to the leaked tracks, and vow to wait until it officially gets released.
@NoaEndeX: "I decided to not listen to Midnight Memories till the actual release date. I know I'm weird but I just think it's more honest..."
@_OneLittleMix: "It's not fair for boys leaked album. I'm really tired of leaked songs. I'm waiting until boys officially come out with #MidnightMemories"
Members of One Direction have expressed their frustration of their upcoming album being leaked online.
"It is annoying because there's this big build-up and it affects sales," Liam Payne said during a signing for their new book, "Where We Are." "We really want a No. 1, so we're just kind of hoping for the best now. Hopefully, people go out and buy it."
Louis Tomlinson feels the same way as Payne. "It's just frustrating when you work so hard on an album and you kind of want everyone to hear it at the same time. Some select fans won't listen to it until it's out, which is great. But there are others who obviously can't help themselves."
"It's just nice to have an impact. If there was an album I liked and I could listen to it a week before, I probably would. It's just nice to have that moment where it builds up to, 'Now it's out and everyone can listen to it,'" said Harry Style.
"It happens these days all the time. There are some very clever people out there. You're buggers!" Payne added.
One Direction released the track "Diana" on Monday, which hit No. 1 spot on the iTunes singles chart.
