Fox 'Glee' Season 6 Cast News: Lea Michele, Chris Colfer Talk Being Emotional While Filming Series Finale [Pics]
"Glee" will soon come to an end. The cast just recorded the last episode, and it was an emotional day for many, including Lea Michele.
The last episode of the show will air March 20 at 8 p.m. eastern on Fox.
Michele, who plays Rachel Berry, made sure to grab a framed jersey from the character Finn Hudson. Finn was played by Cory Monteith who died in July, 2013. Monteith and Michele had a relationship on the show and off it.
Michele posted a picture of herself on Instagram carrying away the jersey from the set and saying, "one last thing," adding a heart emoticon.
The last day of taping for a show that spanned six seasons was emotional for Michele.
"I can't believe tomorrow is our last day at glee. It is going to be such an emotional day. But I'm so grateful though to have had...this incredibly amazing experience," Michele tweeted. "Thank you so much to all of our amazing Gleeks who supported us so much! I love you guys. We were so lucky to have had the most amazing crew who worked so hard everyday to make the show amazing. I'm so grateful for them...So thank you all again so much from the bottom of my heart. I will miss Rachel Berry so very much."
Michele posted three photos on Instagram including the jersey picture. She also posted a black and white picture of the cast and a picture of her standing in front of the studios near a banner, adding the caption "Glee!" with a heart emoticon.
Chris Colfer, who plays Kurt Hummel, also discussed filming the "Glee" series finale.
"Oh, my God. Well, we just wrapped it last night, and tears were flowing like blood in a red wedding," Colfer told ETonline at an Oscars afterparty on Sunday. "I wasn't even expecting it to be so emotional, but it was pretty emotional. You know, it was the first time I had ever wrapped a show. So hearing the series wrap on my name was really interesting."
