On Tuesday, Feb. 24, Demi Lovato was rushed to the hospital due to a lung infection.

TMZ reported that the "Really Don't Care" singer had "significant trouble breathing" and was rushed to the Providence Tarzana Medical Center with a friend. Upon her admission tp the hospital, Lovato was reportedly given medication and a Z-pak.

TMZ said doctors determined Lovato's illness was flu-related.

Fortunately, Lovato has been released from the hospital, and her reps have told People that she "returned home soon after her ER visit and is feeling much better today."

Lovato is currently on a break from her "Demi World Tour," which is scheduled to start again on April 17 in Brisbane, Australia.

TMZ claims that Lovato was forced to cancel a recording session with a "big producer" on Tuesday due to her infection.

Prior to her hospitalization, Lovato made a new year resolution to focus on her health and weight. She posted her resolution on Instagram as inspiration for her fans.

"I was beautiful then, and I'm beautiful now," Lovato said about her weight loss journey on Instagram. "2014 I decided to focus on bettering myself by making changes in my life with health, balance, endurance and consistency."

Lovato ended her heartfelt message by encouraging her fans to remain consistent with their New Year's resolutions.

"It's all about loving and taking care of the only body you will ever have... Cherish it, love it, embrace it.. Because when you do.. It begins to show," she continued.
