Tinder App Review: Apple, Android Application Revolutionizes Online Dating
The "Tinder App" has hit the online dating scene and people "like it". This new app claims to be nothing like "Gridr" (an app used to find strictly hook-ups), but you can use it in any way you please. It's all very simple, you have a picture, a short bio (name, age, gender etc.) and a "like" button; like it or leave it, as you can swipe through to the next person.
Tinder works together with Facebook; using your best pictures as profile pics, showing you who your "matches" are according to your page's postings and allowing people to hit the Tinder "like" button if they like you and your photos. It's sort of like a game, as "Good Day New York" described it. It's a modern age dating app, where you can shallowly judge each other solely on looks...perfect.
Men seem to really like this "game" where they get to look at sexy pictures of women looking for the highest amount of likes on their photos. To women, it might just give them the thrill of competition against other women, like in real life. You can choose to talk to you favorite "likes" through commenting on their pics or privately chatting. This can be the beginning of a beautiful relationship or just a hook up. Ask Men, a men's website, claims that "after a casual date or two, the expectation is that you're going to get laid", so ladies, make sure that you know what you're getting into.
It seems like Tinder isn't going to be your serious dating app. It's more of an "OkCupid" or a "Charm" app where people look for people to meet and have a friendly couple of days with. But then again, how you use this app is up to you. You might be an honest guy or girl just looking to see what's out there on Facebook, since this app doesn't require a friend request. One thing is for sure, this isn't "Christian Dating" but if you're single, bored and curious; go ahead and try Tinder.
What do you think of Tinder? Would you "do" online dating?
