'The Sims 4' Cheats: Game Now Available for Mac & So Are Cheats
"The Sims 4," Electronic Arts' highly successful life-simulation game, has finally been released for Mac, as well. And the software maker is even rewarding patient Apple fans by giving them the Mac version for free if they already own the Windows original, Gamespot noted.
Since Mac users are 13 percent more likely than PC users to say that they want to be "perceived as unique and different to make (their) own mark," according to a Column Five survey, they may appreciate a little bit of help when it comes to having the necessary resources to customize their "Sims 4" experience.
And the secret commands the "Sims" makers have included to solve your in-game woes -- be they money, work or play-related -- can certainly come in handy in that regard. In order to use those cheats on a Mac, you will first need to open a text box by holding down the "Command," "Shift" and "C" keys at the same time.
And voilà: Now it's all just a matter of typing in a magic phrase to make your "Sims" -- and your gaming experience -- as unique as you wish. Here are some of the cheats found on GameFAQs that should make your virtual life a lot easier:
-
Mac users are art and design enthusiasts, Column Five claims. But to built that fancy and well-decorated mansion you have in mind, some serious money will be required. So type in "kaching" or "rosebud" and 1,000 Simoleons will be added to your account. Need to have the Picasso on the wall? Not a problem; "motherlode" will give you a whopping 50,000 Simoleons.
-
Sixty-seven percent of Mac people have completed a four-year college degree, so chances are you're ambitious when it comes to your "Sims," too. Want to give one of your little friends a career boost? With "careers.promote (career)" you can get him or her a promotion in your chosen field. Just remember to replace the parentheses with the name of that profession -- "careers.promote Astronaut," for example.
-
Mac users are 50 percent more likely than their PC counterparts to "frequently" throw parties. So let's get things going in your "Sims" mansion, as well: Thanks to the "soak.enable_soak_party_situation" command, a good time will be had by all!
