Nike Release Dates 2015, Price & Where to Buy: Kobe 10 ‘Vino’, LeBron 12 ‘Cereal’ [Photos]
Nike will release new colorways of the latest signature shoes of NBA superstars Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, which are expected to make waves in the coming days.
The Kobe 10 will arrive at retailers on Saturday in Poison Green/Sequoia/Volt/Sequoia colorway, which is officially named as the "Vino" edition.
The wine-inspired edition features a green-based upper part combined with volt and sequoia hints, finished off with a translucent outsole. It also has a sequoia-colored Nike Swoosh, laces and tongue, which bears the volt-colored signature of the Los Angeles Lakers superstar.
According to Nike, Bryant is aware of the importance of team bonding to their success. It is the reason why he usually arranges team dinners with wine, which eventually became the inspiration of his excellent-looking sneaker. The color tone was based on the green grapes used for white wine.
"The design of the Kobe X Vino basketball shoe evokes transparency via the shoe's translucent components and color story," Nike wrote on the official product page. "Early in his career, Bryant found that breaking bread over a glass of wine was a great way to solidify trust and bond together as friends and teammates."
The Kobe 10 "Vino" will be available starting 10 a.m. EST on Saturday on Nike.com with retail price set at $180 for men's sizes. It will also be released in gradeschool sizes for $135, preschool sizes for $85 and toddler sizes for $60 per pair. Official photos of the shoe and more release information are available on this link.
Aside from the new colorway of the Kobe 10, kids should look forward to the release of the new colorway of the LeBron 12, the latest signature shoe of the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar.
Nike will release the LeBron 12 for kids on Wednesday in Black/Multi-Color-Black colorway, which is officially listed as the "Cereal" edition. It features a black-based upper part with multi-color palette, finished off with a translucent outsole. According to Nike, the design was inspired by James' favorite snack.
"Inspired by LeBron's breakfast. Ready for your fast breaks," Nike noted. "From 4th grader to 2-time champ, LeBron's favorite snack growing up is still a go-to after games. These kids-only kicks cover the LeBron 12's game-elevating explosion with 7 spoon-slamming colors-perfect for everything from fast breaks to breakfast."
The LeBron 12 "Cereal" will arrive at retailers in gradeschool sizes for $160, preschool sizes for $90 and toddler sizes for $60 each pair. Detailed images of this colorway are available on this link.
