New Yorkers Celebrate Mexican Independence Day
Mexico celebrated its independence fight from Spain 202 years ago from the central Mexican state of Guanajuato on Sunday.
More than 100,000 spectators watched the 12th annual Mexican Day Parade in Midtown.
About 1,000 people took part in the parade, which marched along Madison Avenue from 38th Street to 27th Street and included mariachi bands, folk dancers in colorful costumes and colorful floats.
