Kendrick Lamar Hot New Album Release 2015: Upcoming LP to Feature Big Sean? [Watch]
Big Sean might be featured on Kendrick Lamar's highly anticipated, yet-to-be-titled sophomore studio album.
The Detroit emcee sat down with The Whoolywood Shuffle's DJ Whoo Kid on Wednesday to promote his just-released third record "Dark Sky Paradise."
Toward the end of his interview, the radio host asked him, "Are you on Kendrick Lamar's next album?"
Sean Don then said "no." He hesitantly answered and had a smile on his face before he shrugged his shoulders, seemingly implying that his collaboration with K. Dot is a possibility.
The DJ clearly did not buy into the "IDFWU" hitmaker's response, calling him a "lying-**s n***a" and "Pinocchio."
Big Sean was recently accused of dissing skit-using Lamar on his "Me, Myself & I" freestyle, in which he raps, "The new n---a in rap? Well, can he really spit?' / Or do he just hide behind his skits like half of these rappers do / And then y'all f--king go and praise him and his b---h like they savior of this s--t."
However, the "Blessings" rapper insisted that the track "wasn't even a dis to no rappers" during his interview with MTV.
"I feel like people get a little fuzzy-minded and brainwashed when it comes to, like, drama or 'He said this!' And they focus on one little part, or the skits. And that ain't it to me," he explained. "If you got good skits on your album, I just feel like, that's awesome, but, you know, it takes more than that. And that was the whole point."
"It's like, 'This album, or this person, or this mixtape, or 'cause of the skits it was' -- I'm just like, 'Yo, what about the raps?' Or, 'He said this name, or he did this.' It's like, 'Yo, what about the raps, though?'" he added.
Meanwhile, considering the fact that Kendrick Lamar previously contributed to "Control," the chances of Big Sean appearing on the follow-up to 2012's "good kid, m.A.A.d city" are highly probable.
