Bobbi Kristina Brown Near Drowning: Aunt Leolah Brown Urges Dr. Phil to Stay Away From Nick Gordon
On Saturday, March 7, Bobbi Kristina Brown's aunt, Leolah Brown, posted an open Facebook letter to Dr. Phil, urging him to stay away from Nick Gordon, Us Weekly reports.
According to Brown's Facebook letter, Gordon is currently under investigation for the attempted murder of Bobbi Kristina.
"We have strong evidence of foul play. Until this investigation is completed by law enforcement, I would ask that you or anyone else not provide this individual a platform to spin this situation to his benefit," Brown wrote to Dr. Phil.
She continued the letter by urging Gordon to speak with police officials and her brother and Bobbi Kristina's father, Bobby Brown.
"If Nick Gordon does not have the courage to speak with my brother Bobby Brown and/or law enforcement about what happened the day my niece's body was found in a bathtub, he does not deserve to have a platform to speak to anyone of your caliber until this investigation is concluded," Brown concluded her letter.
Brown then posted two additional open Facebook letters urging fans and tabloids to not tarnish the Brown reputation and name.
Prior to Brown's open letter, Dr. Phil staged an intervention with Nick Gordon and his mother Michelle Gordon to discuss his struggling mental state following the death of Whitney Houston and the near fatal drowning of Bobbi Kristina. They also discussed Gordon's suicidal tweets, E! News reports.
"I'm so hurt I wanna do myself in, I know I have to strong," Nick tweeted on Tuesday.
Gordon's mother revealed he was present at the time of Houston's death and Bobbi Kristina's near fatal drowning and has been harboring guilt ever since.
"As we sit here right now, my son's life hangs in the balance," Michelle told Dr. Phil. "When Whitney was found, he administered CPR to her and called me as he was standing in front of her saying, 'Mom, why couldn't I do it? I couldn't get air into her lungs.'"
Since Gordon's sit-down with Dr. Phil, he has checked in to rehab for drugs, TMZ reports.
So far, neither Gordon nor Dr. Phil has responded to Leolah Brown's open letter.
