GTA 5 PC Release Date, Download & Requirements: Rockstar Announces Grand Theft Auto Mobile, But Still No PC Version
Grand Theft Auto V fans have been demanding a PC version of the video game since its release. Rockstar Games has announced a new version of Grand Theft Auto, but it may not be the version gamers are expecting.
Instead of releasing a PC version of Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar Games has taken a different route. The video game developer has announced a mobile version of a Grand Theft Auto V's predecessor, Grand Theft Auto: San Andres, which Rockstar Games calls "the biggest GTA of the PS2 era."
"Now, head back to the early 90s with CJ and the Grove Street Families when Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas comes to mobile devices next month," Rockstar Games said via its Newswire page. "Newly remastered graphics including dynamic and detailed shadows, greater draw distance, an enriched color palette, plus enhanced character and car models make this the best-looking version of San Andreas yet."
Starting in December, gamers can reminisce by hijacking cars in a universe that Rockstar Games says encompasses Grand Theft Auto V's Los Santos, as well as Las Venturas and San Fierra.
The mobile version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas features new touch controls, such as contextual control options that allow gamers to choose which buttons will be displayed. A new, easier checkpoint system and three driving control schemes will also give mobile users a new experience.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas mobile will be available on Android, Amazon Kindle, iOS and Windows Mobile devices.
Rockstar Games is expected to release more information about the mobile game in the following weeks.
It has yet to be determined when or if Rockstar Games will release a PC version of Grand Theft Auto V.
