Lil Wayne Hot New Music Video 2015: 'Tha Carter V' Rapper Previews 'Hollyweezy' [Watch]
Amid his feud with Cash Money Records and its CEO, Birdman, Lil Wayne has previewed a forthcoming music video for "Hollyweezy," a track off his latest mixtape, "Sorry 4 the Wait 2."
In the teaser clip (via Lil Wayne HQ), the New Orleans emcee is seen rapping in front of a green screen that projects dark clouds, thunderstorms, as well as cityscapes of Houston, Hollywood and Hollygrove, the home neighborhood he grew up.
"Been on my beast since I was wearing wallabies, where paparazzi? / I need my privacy, f--k yo photography, I react violently / Make sure your camera get my good side of me, Lawwwd / I come from Hollygrove / Hollywood should make a movie about Hollygrove," he spits.
In addition, Nicki Minaj opened up about the ongoing battle between Weezy and Baby last week.
It has been reported that the "Believe Me" hitmaker, who filed a lawsuit against his label seeking $51 million for not releasing his "Tha Carter V" album, plans to take all his Young Money protégés Minaj and Drake with him when he parts ways with his longtime partner.
In an interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra's Charlie Sloth on March 5, the Trinidadian emcee was asked whether she would leave Cash Money Records with her "Truffle Butter" collaborator.
"I don't think it'll ever get to that point," she replied. "First of all, people know I love Wayne and I have loyalty towards him, but I love Baby, too. I mean, I'm very close with Baby, I don't think people know that."
"So I'm banking on the fact that they're going to work this out like family," she added. "They've gone through things before just like family does, and it is what it is, they're gonna get through it. I'm not even gonna think that way."
