Thanksgiving Day 2013: How Celebrities Are Celebrating the Holidays
Lindsay Lohan continues on her quest of a drug and Paris Hilton-free life by helping her family cook a yummy Thanksgiving dinner. Believe or not, the inexplicable creatures that are America's celebrities also celebrate the holidays with their families. These are the times that remind us that well; they are normal human beings too! When the gowns are off and the pounds of make-up are wiped away, they are mommy's, daddies and even annoying little sisters and cousins.
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, are vegans, therefore their Thanksgiving celebrations consists of alternate plates and "making it easier on the Turkeys, they get to live" says DeGeneres. The beautiful bunch, the Jolie-Pitt family is having their Thanksgiving in Australia, since momma Angelina is currently filming her upcoming movie, "Unbroken". Zooey Deschanel is a Thanksgiving Grinch, who says she hates everything about Thanksgiving...whoa Zooey, what did Thanksgiving ever do to you?
Other stars will be keeping their make-up on and stylist with them since they will be working on Thanksgiving. Demi Lovato will spend the holiday with her "X-Factor" family and a positive attitude saying she is "cool with it" because she gets to do what she loves, "she gets to perform". Lady Gaga will probably be having the best Thanksgiving ever, as she gets to spend it with her favorite person...well Muppet... Kermit the Frog. Lady Gaga's obsession with Kermit becomes a reality as she gets to host an evening of music and Muppets on their ABC Thanksgiving special tonight.
Many celebrities also join the cold at the 87th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Carrie Underwood sat alongside "The Today Show" hosts Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie, as Austin Mahone, Ariana Grande and Gavin Degraw were some of the acts performing on the famous floats. The Obama's while in Washington D.C. get to cozy up in the White House for their traditional Thanksgiving dinner which consists of 9 different pies for dessert other than the typical Turkey meal.
